Summary

RentSpree is issuing refunds to displaced victims affected by the recent events in Texas as a result of Hurricane Beryl. Read on to learn how to obtain your refund.

In an effort to provide relief for those impacted by Hurricane Beryl, RentSpree will refund application fees for victims who need to rent property as a result of forced evacuation and/or property damage from the storm.

On Monday, July 8, Hurricane Beryl landed in southeast Texas, knocking out power to nearly 3 million homes and businesses. Beryl initially came ashore as a Category 1 hurricane but was later downgraded to a tropical storm and depression, unleashing flooding rain and wind across several states.

Acting Texas governor Dan Patrick announced President Biden granted a federal emergency disaster declaration for parts of Texas as a result of Hurricane Beryl. Texas state and local officials predict it could take several days to restore power across all affected areas, as Beryl toppled 10 transmission lines.
