RentSpree issues screening fee refunds for displaced Hurricane Helene victims

RentSpree is issuing refunds to displaced victims affected by the recent events in Florida as a result of Hurricane Helene. Read on to learn how to obtain your refund.

In an effort to provide relief for those impacted by Hurricane Helene, RentSpree will refund application fees for victims who need to rent property as a result of forced evacuation and/or property damage from the storm.

As of Thursday, September 26, Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in Florida near Tallahassee. As of Thursday morning, more than 100,000 customers were without power in counties including Miami-Dade, Sarasota, Collier, Charlotte, and Lee. Helene is currently classified as a major Category 3 hurricane.

With more than 42 million people across the Southeast, governors in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia as well as President Joe Biden have all declared emergencies. Currently, a state of emergency has been declared in 61 of Florida’s 67 counties.
